"Meth`n`Weapons", eine im Jahr 2025 gegründete Sludge Band aus Nürnberg, bedient soundgewaltig und mit berauschender Härte kein gängiges Narrativ. Die vierköpfige Band, bestehend aus Daniel Brunner (Vocals), Tim Ludwig (Bass), David Kohl (Schlagzeug) und Nick Marschel (Gitarre), verbreitet mit kompromisslosen Grooves, einer extra Dosis Röhren Amps und fesselndem Gekeife eine einladend bedrückende Atmosphäre, die es schafft dich in ihren Bann zu ziehen und dir einen auditorischen goldenen Schuss setzt. Der klare Beweis, dass Weltschmerz, Hexogen, Katerstimmung, emotionale Ausnahmezustände und erste Entzugserscheinungen gar nicht so schlimm sind.

SLAŤ was formed in 2021 in the lively underground of Brno and the line-up includes active and former members of well-known acts like Gospel of the Future, Nikander, and Kandar. A successful debut demo from the same year set the direction for SLAŤ’s future and a year ago, the band released their much anticipated LP.
SLAŤ means "peat bog" in Czech and the album Elegie propastná brings a proper mud bath. The quartet takes you on a thoroughly dismal and harrowing ride with a slow pace of traditional doom metal and a touch of more accessible stoner rock progressions, while also drowning you in icy waves of sludge. SLAŤ will pull you in with powerful sabbath-esque riffs and won't let go. Haunting female vocals are the icing on the cake. Sometimes unbridled, sometimes eerily pure, as if hanging on to the last minutes of life. The sound of SLAŤ is as heavy as the arrival of a biblical cataclysmic wave that will bury all those who refuse to sway to the beat in ecstasy.

A phantasmagorical exploration of fever dreams and twilight states, Soar is a psychotronic collection of swaggering rhythms and dazzling textures. EARTH SHIP uncover a world in which every extended riff is journey into trance Atlantis, where your mind is immersed in hazy lofi-lullabies and heavy retro sounds.

Hier trifft heftiger Psych-Punk auf Noise-Rock. Mit absoluter Energie bespielen diese Jungs nichts Geringeres als den Olymp. Mit hervorragend performten Drums und einer anabolisch verzerrten Bassgitarre gründete sich diese Band als Duo, im Jahr 2023 zu einem Trio angewachsen haben sie in Folge ihre Musik von zwei auf drei Dimensionen erweitert. Hypnotische und akzentuierende Gitarren- und Synthesizer-Figuren fügen sich so als zusätzliche Ebene in die Musik ein und vervollständigen diese einzigartige Klanglandschaft, die sich nach sich selbst verzehrt - ein ständiges Ringen mit den Dämonen im Kopf und die Heuchelei einer sich selbst täuschenden Gesellschaft, die scheinbar unsere Welt an den Rand des völligen Zusammenbruchs gebracht hat. Psychedelic sound collages on a foundation of repetitive rhythms, something between spacerock, psychedelic and shoegaze. Flight through space and time ... . Buckle up, take off, unbuckle - off into the unknown.

With a sound that evokes the spirit of the German kraut and psych-rock pioneers, the three musicians from Leipzig celebrate suspenseful, free-thinking instrumental music on their partly written, partly improvised albums, which often develops a trance-like undertow and, gradually increasing, discharges in breathtaking climaxes. The trio experimentally explores the acoustic space between brute and spherical and shines with compositional sophistication, authenticity and emotional complexity. It is therefore not surprising that the three childhood friends share a long musical socialisation and can draw on a wide range of inspirations and musical experiences. They succeed at interpreting the psychedelic heritage in an unpretentious and contemporary way and retain the freedom to explore related genres such as space rock, drone, garage or kosmische Musik while always remaining authentic and stylistically confident.

Their first self-titled album caused quite a stir in the psych scene in 2019 and several editions were sold out in no time at all. Since then, the band has released a record almost every year, each having been met with an extremely positive response and sold out just as quickly. So “S/T“ was followed by the self-recorded EP “Irrlichter” (2021), the improvised live album “Ad Astra” (2022) and the studio album “Flowers & Dead Souls” (2023). On 25 October, the new album “Hall of Mirrors” will be released, which was recorded in Glasgow on two off-days during their first successful UK tour in 2022. In addition to their very productive studio activities, Acid Rooster have also earned a great reputation as an intense and authentic live band. They have already performed live on countless European stages. In addition to major festivals such as “Le Guess Who” or the “Fusion Festival”, they have played a large number of club concerts with bands such as Kikagaku Mojo, Minami Deutsch, Bitchin Bajas, Föllakzoid and Acid Mothers Temple.

Bei diesem Duo geht es weniger um einen anorganischen Baustoff, als vielmehr um das kontrolliert improvisierte (Ab-)Driften in jambasierter Form. Mehr um analog trifft digital als um Schüttgut. Repetitiv krautige Klänge treffen auf psychedelische Sounds, Drones auf Noise und Elektronisches. Mal druckvoll nach vorne, mal auf einen Ton, eine Idee konzentrierend. Zement sind eine neue Band aus Würzburg. Zement sind auch der instrumentale Versuch etwas Anderes zu wagen, Altes einzureißen und wieder neu zusammenzusetzen. Zur Herstellung dieser Mixtur halten Schlagzeug, Gitarre, Synthesizer, Sampler und diverse andere Klangmaterialien Einzug um am Ende hoffentlich im Orbit zu landen.
